From the dunes of the Sahara to the peaks of the High Atlas, Morocco seems to be tailored for photographers and nature lovers. This strip of North Africa is carpeted with a wide variety of landscapes and habitats. And all of them have a great wealth of birds easy to observe and photograph with the help of expert guides.
For this we have designed an itinerary that covers the best areas of this beautiful country in order to enjoy desert species with Crowned Sandgrouse and Spotted Sandgrouse, Hoopoe Lark, the incredible Pharaoh Eagle Owl and the increasingly scarce Desert Sparrow. We will photograph daylight as difficult as the Egyptian Nightjar or the Sahara Warbler, as well as several species of wheatear, among which are the Desert wheatear and the mythical Isabelline Wheatear
In the Atlas Mountains, our target species will be species such as the Moussier´s Redstart, the beautiful Crimson-winged Finch and the Choughs and Alpine Chough, the Levaillant´s Green Woodpecker and the Atlas Warbler.
In the valleys and semi-deserts between the Atlas and Erg Chebbi we can photograph the incredible Thick-billed Larks and the Horned lark with Temminck´s larks (from the Atlas), together , the Bar Tailed Lark and the small Scrub Warbler.
In the multiple oases full of palm trees and provided with an ingenious network of community wells that exist throughout the territory, we will photograph species such as the Persian Bee-eater, Rufous bush Robin and Fulvous Babbler.
We will complement our tour by having enough time to visit some of the most beautiful Kasbahs in Morocco and to delve into the mystical labyrinth of souks in Marrakech next to the lively square of Ymaa el Fna.
